The Committee is responsible for implementing and maintaining a Water Quality Strategy for Erie County.
Erie County Environmental Management Council Municipalities, various private citizens who represent agencies/companies concerned with environmental issues Ongoing The mission of the Erie County EMC is to advise county government on local environmental concerns and to provide a liaison between the community and county government. Members of the Council represent many of the cities, towns, and villages within Erie County, as well as the 12 at-large members from throughout the County.

Erie County Envirothon ECSWCD, NRCS Annual Coordinate the annual Erie County Envirothon, an outdoor, hands-on natural sciences competition open to all Erie County high schools. Includes a workshop day where students learn from local natural resources professionals, and a competition day, where schools compete for highest scores.
Enviroscape Demonstrations ECSWCD Ongoing Conduct water pollution demonstrations to interested groups including grade schools, boyscouts, conservation groups, etc. using the Enviroscape watershed model.
